SEVERE TORTURE On New Album: 'The End Result Literally Blew Us Away'

July 25, 2007

Dutch death metal brutalizers SEVERE TORTURE have issued the following update:

"September 10th has been set as the European release date for our brand new album 'Sworn Vengeance'. This will mark our second release on Earache Records and further release dates will follow soon for North America and the rest of the world. We finished mixing duties last week and the Hertz studio [in Poland] did an amazing job. The end result literally blew us away. The sheer aggression and power of this album exceeds anything we have done by far and we can't wait for you guys to hear it. As we already reported before, we had some friends of ours over in the studio to help us out on the album. We had our good friend Jason from MISERY INDEX doing backing vocals on the album as well as our fellow Dutchman and metal brother Ché, who a lot of you might know from the band BORN FROM PAIN. They are both featured on the track 'Buried Hatchet', where they duel with Dennis' gutteral deathgrunts! But more on that, touring info and 'Sworn Vengeance', as we head towards the release of album. So be sure to look out for further details in the next months!"

"Sworn Vengeance" will contain the following 10 songs (in no particular order):

01. Buried Hatchet
02. Countless Villains
03. Dismal Perception
04. Dogmasomatic Nausea
05. Redefined Identity
06. Repeated Offender
07. Serenity Torn Asunder
08. Sworn Vengeance
09. Fight Something
10. Submerged in Grief

SEVERE TORTURE's latest album, "Fall of the Despised", was released in November 2005 via Earache Records.
